BIOGRAPHY

Ms. Allen, is an experienced and dynamic leader, facilitator, trainer, team-builder, coach, and turn-around executive. She brings to CJA her organization development interventions over thirty years of experience in the nonprofit, healthcare, and business world. Her three decades of experience have been diverse and broad.

 

· As a turn-around executive, she has assumed the leadership of challenged organizations to regain employee satisfaction and ensure continued community services;

· As an executive and consultant, her work with Boards of Directors and Staff has strengthened organizational leadership, conducted numerous organizational assessments, and designed many strategic planning documents;

· As a project administrator of a West coast rural hospital construction project, she insured budget compliance and effective communications with State, County and local officials;

· As a human resources leader, her expertise in work redesign, resizing, and restructuring is extensive;

· As a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, she brings her attention to detail and systems thinking from her clinical nursing, healthcare education, organization development, marketing, and planning experience;

· As a community developer, she has worked extensively with community nonprofit organizations and renewed community partnerships;

· As a public information officer during California’s Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989, her leadership was invaluable in crisis management and teambuilding interventions; her energy and excellence in presentations ensure excitement and action by all audience levels.

 

Cory holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from California State University, Chico and a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco. She is the Founder and Principal of CJA Organization Development Services, specializing in moving organizations to a more productive work environment through a greater understanding of their goals, team strengths, operations and systems, and  vision for the future.
